There will be no judo tomorrow (3rd March) at Wellington Sports Centre. The Centre has been shut and I wouldn’t want any accidents trying to get in.

Macs School of Judo will be delivering Judo taster sessions to the whole school on Weds 19th April. This is a wonderful opportunity for students in the school to try Judo with their classmates and experience the sport in a fun and engaging manner. The taster sessions will be followed by a Before-School club on Wednesday mornings, details to follow. For more information please send an email to MacsJudo@gmail.com. Many thanks Nige This week marks the 5th year anniversary of Macs School of Judo. Initially, when we first started I only had four after-school clubs which quickly became five within a term. My initial schools were Chilton, Puriton, Thurlbear, Castle & Minehead First. Five years on and we have achieved/delivered:
Has it been worth it? Yes, definitely. To see the smiles on children's faces, the look of realisation when an underpowered person can take control of a situation and the look of comfort on a child's face when fighting/playing a Judo game with another child they would normally never have the confidence to talk to!
